Just when you thought croissants reached their peak with the addition of chocolate, guess again. Thanks to pastry chef Thiago Silva, aka a pastry genius, red velvet croissants are now a very real thing people can enjoy.

For just $5, you can buy one at New York City's Union Fare restaurant--just be sure to get there early to avoid the lines. If the cronut craze taught us anything, it's that you have to get up early if you want a taste of that sweet, sweet goodness.

And you know people are going to be lining up for these. Stuffed with a cream cheese filling and sprinkled with red velvet cake crumbs on top, these croissants are sure to be the ultimate breakfast/dessert.
