For Immediate Release:In April 2013, Salvatore Ferragamo launches the new Su Misura Made-To-Measure program, complementing the hand crafted Special Edition Tramezza shoecollection and recently premiered Made-To-Order Travel collection.
Suiting, jackets, and pants can be custom tailored in the client’s choice of styles and fabrication and, for the first time, the Su Misura program debuts custom shirting.
The relaunched program offers a wide selection of over 250 luxurious fabrics and styles ranging from Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter materials in classic and fitted drop shapes, double breasted and single breasted jackets, pocket styles, and functioning buttons created in horn, metal, or mother of pearl. Shirting is offered in a selection of 200 fine fabrics, optional back pleats, 8 collar choices, 3 cuff options, and the choice of white, raw, or grey buttons.
Custom initials embroidered on the inner jacket lining and shirt breast or cuff offer the final personal detail to this elegant experience. The embroidered font, available in italics or block lettering, is offered in 7 different colors.
Drawing upon Ferragamo’s expertise in tailoring, and an artisanal tradition from the company’s premiere Italian craftsmen, Ferragamo offers the finest quality product at a supreme level of luxury and service. Offered exclusively at the company’s New York Fifth Avenue Flagship (with the flexibility to travel to home or office as needed), the client receives personalized one-on-one guidance to assist in his selection of style, fabric, and color.
The measuring process is executed by a highly trained tailor, using traditional artisan techniques to create the perfect fit. Measurements are recorded and sent to Ferragamo’s Florentine headquarters, where Italian artisans construct a finely tailored garment according to specifications and to be delivered within four to five weeks.
Su Misura will be available in New York and internationally in Tokyo, Osaka, Milano, Roma, Firenze, and Napoli. In September, the program will debut to the newly renovated Chicago boutique, reopening early July. Phase 2 of the program will introduce pure cashmere knitwear to the arsenal of customizable pieces.
