If you’re able to sop up the drool and tear your eyes away from this lead image of Justin Bieber, Zac Efron, and David Beckham long enough to read this post, you’re of stronger will than most of hot-blooded America.

Somehow these three dudes are able to look both chiseled and a little rugged AND like total husband-material.

How? Well, our theory is that Biebs, Zefron, and Becks all have one thing in common here: they’re all rocking updated versions of the suave pompadour look.

A staple to old-school heartthrobs like Elvis and James Dean, the slicked rockabilly-esque style lay dormant for many years, seemingly reserved for the Baldwin brothers and Chuck Bass. Now, the pomade-heavy style is making a comeback by way of today’s studliest dudes. The best part about this updated resurgence of the pompadour is that there are so many iterations of the style.

Justin Bieber skips the shellacked look, opting for a more relaxed side-swept ‘do with the same coiffed feeling of the OG pompadour. Zac Efron wears his hair with a subtle roll and immaculate side part, while Becks combs his hair up and back into the classic pouf. What do you guys think of this new trend in guys’ hair?
