If you’ve never noticed this code, you’ll definitely be looking around for it after this. For years now, the numbers “A113″ have been popping up all over various Pixar movies like “Toy Story,” “Up” and “Finding Nemo,” just to name a few.
Eventually, the Internet caught on and everyone began searching for the code’s true meaning. However, once the code began popping up beyond just Pixar movies, things got even weirder. What does “A113″ actually stand for?
Check out screenshots of the movies it can be seen in below!
“A Bug’s Life”
Things got strange when the code moved beyond just Pixar movies. Here it is in the “The Brave Little Toaster.”
“The Princess and the Frog”
“The Iron Giant”
“Lilo & Stitch”
Things got even stranger when the code started popping up on TV shows like “American Dad.”
What did it mean? Is it some sort of alien code from outer space? Is it demonic? Is it some kind of cult? Nope.
It’s just the number of the room where a bunch of animators for Pixar, Disney and more got their start at the California Institute of Arts!

This past weekend, New York became the 23rd state in the US to legalize medical marijuana. Though Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the bill Saturday, it will be at least another 18 months before medical marijuana becomes available in New York...
There’s no doubt about it: Zoo animals have it pretty rough during the winter season. Sure, these zoos provide heated rocks and make minor habitat tweaks to make these frigid environments comfortable for animals, but that doesn’t help the loneliness that follows. This photo series by Toni Amengual is titled “Necrofilia I.” Throughout the series, […]
When I was a sophomore in high school, I dated a girl who I was too stupid to understand was bad for me. She was selfish, dramatic and rude. She sported a fake tan, wore shorts that were too short and crimped her hair to crispy perfection. There were plenty of signs that she was wrong […]
Let’s face it, we’re going to have to deal with technology taking over the world one day. As a matter of fact, the takeover has already begun. You can determine that by observing how obsessed everyone is with social media and smartphones. An Italian artist group called IOCOSE decided to bridge the gap between drones […]
Why aren’t french fries just called potato sticks? Why aren’t donuts just called sugar bagels? The fact of the matter is, we spend way too much time overcomplicating the English language when it could all be so simple. We recently came across a collection of photos that give everyday objects much more simplified titles. Why […]
There comes a time in everyone’s life when alarm clocks just don’t get the job done. It doesn’t matter how loud we make them, how many times we hit the snooze button or what kind of vibration pattern our phones are on. It’s evident that we haven’t found a fully-effective way to wake ourselves up […]
Growing up, it’s normal to have an obsession with roller coasters and amusement parks in general. But as we continue to get older, our desire for certain things change. At this point, it’s not about making sure we make it out to our favorite amusement parks to ride our favorite roller coasters. It’s about making […]
When it comes to letting your kid run wild in Toys “R” Us, it’s important to remember that not every toymaker thinks the same way we do. As a matter of fact, there are probably more inappropriate toys on the market for kids than there are appropriate ones. Most toys subtly feature violence, while others […]
While he’s come a long way since his Jimmy on “Degrassi” days, Drake has always been an actor at heart. His performance at the 2014 ESPYs last night was remarkable, and his onscreen chops were put to the test as he imitated one of the greatest athletes to play the game: Manny Pacquiao. The impression […]
Now and then, we come across a questionable Internet trend that ultimately makes no sense. Whether it’s a photo trend on Instagram calling out models posing with fatty foods or a trend that requires you to play your cat like an instrument, we’ve seen it all. However, the latest Internet video trend seems to be […]
When a choir sings together, their heartbeats synchronize, sweeping a calming effect over the entire group that’s as beneficial to their health as a yoga session, says researchers at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. A group of teenagers was asked to perform three chorus exercises: singing a hymn, humming and chanting. The participants’s heart rhythms were […]
The question on everyone’s mind is: Are we going to see Robert Downey, Jr. in a fourth “Iron Man” movie? Marvel Studios has all but confirmed that we will see an “Iron Man 4″ eventually, but everyone has been somewhat tight-lipped about whether or not Downey, Jr. will appear in it. Right now, Downey is […]
There’s a good chance you’ve never heard what a shotgun sounds like when it’s equipped with a silencer. Sure, we’ve all heard what a silenced pistol sounds like. If you haven’t, then you haven’t watched a single “James Bond” film! In a recent video uploaded to YouTube by Chris Cheng, a San Francisco-based sport shooter, […]
