A Billion Dollar Trip Planned To Send A Married Couple To Mars

by Anonymous

The first space tourist, Denis Toto wants to give married couples a chance for a second honeymoon. In less than five years, a middle-aged couple can be on their way to a Mars voyage.

A round trip to Mars is worth $500,000, however the generous millionaire Denis Toto will send a couple through a private, nonprofit project, called Inspiration Mars.

With initial money from multimillionaire investment consultant Tito, this trip will last for 501 days confined in a 600-cubic-foot capsule. The idea behind sending a couple is to represent humanity, and ensuring emotional support between passengers.

Due to a rare planetary alignment, the project will not land people on the surface of Mars, but would allow a quick flyby around the Mars.

This trip won't be easy, as the couple cannot take showers, and there will be limits on toilet paper, food and clothing. Moreover, they have to survive with drinking water made from the crew member's recycled urine and sweat.

NASA will not be involved in this project, but the tycoon is reported to be willing to invest as much as $100 million of his personal fortune into the venture. The expected launch is on Jan 5, 2018, the Mars flyby on Aug. 20, 2018, and a return to Earth on May 21, 2019.
