B. Martin Releases His New Mixtape “Music, Love, Enemies”

B. Martin has established himself as one of the most promising up and coming hip-hop artists of our generation. Hailing from Colonie, New York, Brendan has always had a love and passion for music.

Aside from making music at school, he graduated from SUNY Albany’s School of Business with a 4.0 GPA.After receiving his degree, Martin left Albany to touch base in New York City and focus on developing his music career.

Best known as B. Martin, the 23 year-old rapper and songwriter signed to Phase One Network in 2011 (a label distributed through Sony/RED). By then he had already garnered a substantial following after winning SUNY Albany’s “Battle of the Bands,” T-Pain’s “Motivated” competition, and opening up for the likes of Mac Miller, Lupe Fiasco, Big Sean, Young Jeezy, Snoop Dogg and Steve Aoki.

B. Martin has a couple titles underneath his belt already. He swept the “Battle for the Best” competition at SXSW this year and he also won Hot 97′s “Who’s Next” competition.

We’ve liked B. Martin for some time, but after his performance at Hot 97′s “Summer Jam” 2012, we were completely sold. His raw talent, combined with beats tailored to his style, equate to a rising star. There is no doubt in our mind that he will be the next big thing.

Be sure to check out for B. Martin’s new mixtape, Music, Love, Enemies, that was just released today. Here’s an excerpt from the mixtape that tells you a little about it:

“This mixtape is an introduction to me. I’d like to think of it more like an album actually. I wanted to show the many different sides of me so people could get a sense of who I am out the gate. I’m giving an underground story with a mainstream feel. Everybody has a passion, everybody loves and everybody struggles. I’m just giving my story and take on life.”
