Great Barrier Reef, Australia Helicopter Tour

The world’s largest barrier reef extends 1,600 miles along the Coral Sea off Australia’s northeast coast. It nurtures diverse marine life—and even the occasional romance.

Sydney-based personal assistant Amy Harrison got engaged during a helicopter tour over the reef. “We hovered over the famous heart reef, where my boyfriend presented me with a sapphire ring,” she says. “The pilot was caught off-guard and jolted the helicopter slightly, but he was pretty happy for us!”
