I’ve had an irrational fear of wrong numbers for most of my life. I don’t why, but I used to think that people would be so annoyed after being inconvenienced by a misdial that they’d track me down in real life and kill me.

Even though the act of dialing phone numbers has become almost obsolete, I still get a little bit of anxiety whenever I go to call or text someone for the first time. All my life I didn’t think I was justified in feeling the way that I did, but it turns out that I might not be so crazy after all.

Take the case of Roger and Kristen. The duo decided it would be a good idea to combine wedding photos with a BBQ, and then proceeded to send out invitations via text.

Unfortunately for the couple, Kristen forgot to double check at least one of the numbers before hitting “Send.”

I have to give a lot of credit to the person on the other end. If you have to deal with a wrong number, this is a fantastic strategy.

You Will Never Want To Fly Again After Watching This Plane’s Landing

When hurricane strength winds start blowing during a flight, the entire cabin full of passengers prays there’s a good pilot at the helm. For a TUIfly flight hoping to land at Portugal’s Madeira Airport, the landing wasn’t easy. Gusts battered the plane, rocking it from side to side. The video, captured by a bystander, reminds […]

Chipotle Is Making Lunch Breaks Even Better By Opening Another Pizzeria

Everyone with tastebuds knows pizza is pretty much the best thing to ever happen to mankind. Chipotle’s execs, at least, seem to realize how much people love pizza. Yesterday, the burrito chain opened its second pizza shop in Denver. The company’s first pizzeria opened its doors last December in the Mile High City, and (unsurprisingly) the […]

3 Life Mantras That Will Help You Dodge Disappointment In Your 20s

They say the best way to learn is simply by making mistakes. If that’s the case, I’m life’s valedictorian. The past few years haven’t been easy. In fact, the years between 20 and 25 have felt somewhat akin to stumbling through a pitch-black cave, basically blind, barefoot and with no flashlight. Fortunately, my eyes gradually adjusted to […]

You Can Have Your Beer And Eat It Too With Edible Beer Spread (Photos)

Move over Nutella. We’re not sure what took so long, but spreadable beer finally exists. Birra Alta Quota, an Italian brewer, came up with the awesome idea to turn beer into a spreadable, edible condiment you can put on everything from pastries to meats and fruits. Despite the fact that it’s essentially beer spread, it’s […]

Baby Ostriches Comfort New Elephant Pal As It’s Airlifted To Nursery (Video)

Elephants, as you may know (well, as you should know) are nearing extinction, due in part to poachers. I’ll save that rant for another time and instead share a happier story about the beautiful creatures. Rescue workers from the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) in Kenya rescued a baby elephant that had fallen into a […]
