Last week, a recent high school graduate uploaded a picture his local newspaper felt was a fantastic representation of the feelings and emotions experienced by the students on such a monumental day.

For most people, getting featured in a town's dying form of media would be just another reason to celebrate the occasion. But unfortunately for the aforementioned graduate, this was the picture chosen.

On the bright side, he'll always remember the time he reacted to graduating by doing his best impression of a skeptical SpongeBob SquarePants.

Because the Internet lacks self-awareness, people quickly dubbed the photo "Derploma" and attempted to make it even funnier by turning it into a meme. I'll let you decide if they succeeded or not.
