20 Of The Dumbest Things People Decided To Tweet About Ebola

by Connor Toole

Approximately .0001 percent of the world's population is currently diagnosed with Ebola, and even though the numbers don't exactly support the narrative of a worldwide epidemic, that hasn't stopped people from responding with irrational fear, paranoia and a dash of xenophobia.

If you want to hear someone say something stupid about Ebola, you really only need to walk into a public place for an extended period of time, but Twitter is a fantastic alternative when you want to find out what people are saying about Ebola while simultaneously lowering your risk of getting exposed.

I spent the past couple of hours digging through Twitter in search of the dumbest comments inspired by the hottest contagious disease of the season, and the people did not disappoint. I hope most of these people are joking, but I'd be lying if I said none of these people were serious.

If you're one of the people on this list, feel free to say that you were only joking -- I'm sure we'll all believe you after the fact.
