Teen Arrested For Xanax Becomes World's New Favorite Mugshot Girl (Photo)

Ever since Jeremy Meeks' mugshot took the world by storm after hitting the Internet back in June, I said that 2014 would go down in history as The Year Of The Attractive Mugshot.

I wasn't totally serious when I made this proclamation, but apparently I was on to something.

After Meeks, we saw a model from Miami and a guy with dreadlocks and a hatred for Fox News whose pictures made the rounds online, and even though the year is coming to an end, it doesn't appear this trend is slowing down.

Alysa Bathrick, 18, was arrested in Raleigh, NC, earlier this week after police allegedly found her in possession of Xanax without a prescription -- a situation she claims is much more complex than it seems.

I don't know the circumstances leading to her arrest, and if I'm being honest, I really don't care.

There's one major reason I'm writing about Bathrick, and it's not because I enjoy reporting on drug arrests in minor metropolitan areas.

That reason is her mugshot. I'm sure you'll be able to figure out why:
