This Dance Scene From 'Napoleon Dynamite' Is A Stoner's Wet Dream

by Lauren Martin

It's the 10th anniversary of "Napoleon Dynamite" today and, if you ask me, it should be sacrilegious for stoners to go to work. We should have the day off and a copy of the movie and a joint sent to our home.

Seriously, though, can you believe it's been 10 years since the "Vote For Pedro" shirt came out? Unfortunately for us, 10 years ago we were too young to even grasp the genius of Napoleon and Pedro, finding it funny for our own immature reasons, but not the true ones.

Now, looking back on the nerd movie that changed all nerd movies, it's an instant cult classic placing itself in the subcategory of "stoner gold."

Of course, there are a ton of other hilarious parts in the movie, but I think for today's 420 we should focus on the scene where Napoleon tries to help his poor friend Pedro by performing an impromptu dance routine so Pedro can have a shot at school President (even though in his speech he mentions religious artifacts he'd like to put in the school to bless the hallways).

So, since we couldn't celebrate all day, make sure you treat yourself to a blunt and one more screening of "Napoleon Dynamite." And if you can't get the movie, at least watch this clip a few times.

Dare I say it's better than the epic Michael Jackson moonwalk for one kid's school talent show?
