Lil Mama Crying Is The Best New Meme You Didn't Know You Needed

by Gillian Fuller

Remember Lil Mama?

No? Let me jog your memory...

In 2008, she released a freakishly catchy song called “Lip Gloss” and got to be famous for about five whole minutes. Then, she dropped off the planet.

Seven years later, Lil' Mama finally returned to reclaim those lost 10 minutes of her promised 15 minutes of fame.

A photograph, taken in 2011 during an interview on radio show “The Breakfast Club,” resurfaced on Twitter earlier this month.

The pic, which shows Lil Mama cryling (that's smiling and crying, BTW) shot the singer back to fame — only this time, it's not her vocal ability but rather, her meme-ability to thank (or blame?) for the sudden stardom.

See, there's a lot in Lil Mama's expression that the masses can relate to.
