Everything You Thought You Knew About The Beloved Poop Emoji Is A Lie

It's hard to go online these days without running into at least one cartoon eggplant or an endless line of fire emoji, and while it might not be as popular as it once was, the smiling poop emoji will always hold a special place in my heart.

Despite being buried beneath pages of assorted yellow faces and not having any clear meaning, the enthusiastic piece of crap managed to defy the odds and become one of the most popular emoji by doing what it does best: being a happy pile of poop.

However, beneath that cheery facade lies a dark secret. I should warn you ahead of time: The following GIF may give you a seizure as well as make you throw up in your mouth a little bit.

My God. Get your obvious "Two Girls, One Cup" joke out of the way so we can focus on the serious issue: Is the poop actually ice cream? IS THE ICE CREAM ACTUALLY POOP?!?!?!?
