They just don’t make things like they used to. I think most of us who grew up in the golden era of the 90s can agree that many of the products today, from the munchies to the toys, lack the originality and imagination that they once did.

It’s 2013 and it’s all about click, click, next. Sure we get our information and entertainment in just a matter of seconds, but where can you find the lesson and experience from that?

It’s like we are regressing to a time where no skill, creativity or thought matters. And this can be seen by the products of today. Sure they are as technologically advanced as ever. However, for the users, it’s not so much.

What happened to the days of Lincoln Logs or Connect Four? Those were games that involved some strategy and made us think for a damn second. Now we just press a button and burn our eyes out. Great.

Let us take you back to a time before Twitter and Instagram. A time where we didn’t depend on instant gratification and being zoned out on our mobile devices all day. Let us reflect on the 35 best products from the 90s.

17 Jack-O-Lanterns That Tried So Hard But Failed (Photos)

It’s October, which means that whatever screen you view things on is about to be filled with picture after picture of pumpkins carved by people who spent way too much time mastering a skill that’s only useful for a couple of weeks every year. In the past, you could carve a few triangles and a […]

14 Snapchats From Your Favorite Horror Movie Villains (Photos)

There are two weeks left until Halloween, and if you haven’t already gotten sick of all the holiday-related list, articles and videos, just give it a little bit of time — you’ll be begging for Christmas carols and corny commercials before you can say “commercialization.” I’m a big fan of horror movies, and considering a […]

Reading This Is A Blessing: Why We Need To Learn To Be More Grateful

The other week, I was standing in an oddly long line. There was a tall man in front of me talking to himself, asking why the line was taking so long. There was a woman behind me talking to someone on her cell phone, complaining that her feet hurt. I looked to my left and […]

The Ebola outbreak that has now killed more than 3,300 people is no laughing matter. But, on Twitter, popular accounts are treating the disease as a joke. The Ebola virus has now infected more than 7,157 people, as of September 28, and on Tuesday, the first US case of Ebola was diagnosed in Dallas, Texas. Although […]

8 Ways Dating And Job Hunting Present The Same Struggles For 20-Somethings

We’ve all been there: clutching our phones in anticipation, losing sleep over a potential future together, relying on friends for advice on what to say next. I’m talking, of course, about applying for a new job. It’s common to say that the first date is like a job interview, but did you ever think about […]
