So beautiful, yet so stupid…

Last night was the final round of the Miss USA Pageant in Las Vegas because what better way to end off Father’s Day, than with a bunch of titties? Am I right?

An accountant from Connecticut won it all (could you imagine how much embezzling she could get away with?), but most of the attention has been on Miss Utah, Marissa Powell, for her highlight answer.

When asked by Nene Leakes about the male-female income disparity in the US and what it says about society, she gave a response for the record books.

The actual quote:

“I think we can relate this back to education and how we are continuing to try to strive to (awkward pause) figure out how to create jobs right now. That is the biggest problem and I think, especially the men, are uh, seen as the leaders of this and so we need to try and figure out how to create education better so we can solve this problem. Thank you.”

Ding, ding, ding! We have an idiot! I believe the only appropriate response to such an incoherent and nonsensical answer is:

When it comes to looks, she’s definitely hot. But when it comes to intelligence, she’s definitely not (great rhyme!).

To look that stupid yet that good at the same time is truly remarkable. We may never remember the winner of the pageant, but we certainly won’t ever forget the most illiterate contestant. This display of pure idiocy on a national stage is why her response has earned the YOLO Moment Of The Weekend.

Couple Nearly Gets Fried As Nearby Lightning Bolt Interrupts Their Selfie (Video)

A vacationing couple was in the middle of taking a selfie in the pouring rain — when a lightning strike hit dangerously close behind them. Selfies can be many things — narcissistic, an innocent confidence-booster or downright inappropriate — but this one taken by Luis Morales Fukutake and his girlfriend near Cancun, Mexico is absolutely terrifying. This Uplifting Bathroom Stall Graffiti Is A Serious Break From The Norm (Photo)

Normally, graffiti involves the defacing of public property for aggressive or artistic purposes, depending on your perspective. This graffiti written on the walls of bathroom stalls is certainly not your typical graffiti, since its inspirational messages about loving yourself contrast greatly with street gangs tagging brick walls. “Stay strong. It will get better,” and “Always […]

Dear Indra Nooyi: ‘Having It All’ Is An Outdated Concept For This Generation

Like most people my age, I cruise Facebook to kill time. So when I saw an article about PepsiCo’s CEO Indra Nooyi discussing women “having it all,” I was intrigued. At a glance, Nooyi’s response appears progressive and refreshing. For a minute, I identified with her answers, so much so that I insisted my mother read […]

Stephen Colbert Rips Apart All The Terrible Crowdsourced Ideas (Video)

The potato salad Kickstarter has more or less proved the ridiculousness of crowdfunding. Sure, it can be used for good, but it can also be used to fund insane bullsh*t. Case in point: Vessyl. Vessyl is a “smart cup” that can tell what you’re drinking and how many calories are in your beverage, among other things. […]
