The 12th Zodiac Sign: 5 Basic Aspects Of Being A Hardcore Pisces
Astrology has been a topic of conversation since ancient times, and now, in 2015, things are no different. Zodiac signs are as commonplace as smartphones.
Whether you plan your meals by the stars or simply read horoscopes because the rest of the newspaper isn’t interesting enough, we can probably all agree that astrological signs have piqued our interest at one point or another.
We are about to enter the cycle of the last astrological sign, Pisces, which runs from February 20 to March 20. Being a Pisces myself, I am well acquainted with the pros and cons of being “the fish of the stars.”
So, I’m here to give us all a crash course in understanding the Pisces’ of the world.
We would much rather write, paint, sing or create than sit behind a desk. Not only have we all dreamt we are the next big thing in our creative fields, but chances are, we also hold the ability.
Our out-of-the-box thinking comes in handy in any predicament, whether it be at the office or amongst a friend group. We see things in every color of the rainbow, not just black and white.
The dark side of creativity is escapism; we create these places to run to when the real world gets to be too much. We are so good at creating these fantasies, that sometimes, we believe them to be true.
It could be a story as to why the new fling stopped calling, or it could be a story as to why another candidate was chosen for the internship over you. Either way, reality bites and we cure the bite by making our own realities.
We are undoubtedly oversensitive to all emotions. Pisces are sometimes referred to as the chameleons of the zodiac; we absorb the feelings around us.
With that being said our highs are incredible highs and our lows are extremely lows. We don’t really know what it’s like to be “kind of” anything: “kind of” excited, “kind of” sad, etc.
We are either bursting at the seams with good vibes or bursting at the seams with the next great flood of tears.
“Emotional” always sounds pretty bad at first, like it should come with a caution sign. However, being overemotional can be quite the gift.
When dealing with a Pisces, you’ll never question a mood or how we’re feeling about you. Our emotions are so present and raw that there is no way to mistake what we have going on. There are no poker faces here.
Being a water sign, Pisces is the epitome of “going with the flow.” We don’t need much time or thought to adjust to new things or redirect our sails.
We can jump right into things and be A-okay with any outcome. Spontaneity is a sort of extra limb for us; we don’t need much convincing to go along with anything.
In today’s world, life changes by the month. Our Pisces adaptability could be one of our greatest strengths.
Whether it’s our love interests or our latest projects, we stick it out. Much like our extreme emotion, we take everything to the furthest-possible level.
We rarely give up and will do just about anything to get a job done. For us, extravagance goes beyond what we’re driving or what’s for dinner. It’s about going the extra mile and knowing no bounds to make something all it can be.
We sometimes get our devotion confused with delusion.
We put ourselves in situations with ideas and goals that can sometimes be unobtainable, like jobs for which we’re unqualified or feelings that aren’t reciprocated.
Ultimately, though, we believe in ourselves and will give it our all, and that’s what really matters.
Some say it’s because we’re the last sign in the zodiac. Thus, we carry a little of each sign with us, which makes us relatable and all-knowing. We not only trust our gut feelings, they rule us.
We choose intuition over logic in almost every situation. We’re often asked, “How did you know?” We just know things, we don’t know how.
With intuition comes relation. Pisces’ can connect with people on far deeper levels than the others signs. We see through the fluff layers and see people for who and what they really are.
This is what makes us such good listeners and shoulders on which to lean; we know what to say and when to say it, even if we can’t help ourselves in most situations.
These five traits are just the first few feet of the Pisces’ sea of being. With any astrological sign, each trait gives way to another one, and almost all of them have good and bad sides.
But, Pisces’ like to take the limelight and role of “most faceted.” So, if you find yourself dealing with a Pisces, step lightly and read the “fragile: handle with care” label.
Sure, we may throw mood swings your way, need more attention than necessary and can even be impulsive at times. But, we also can help you build a real-life fantasy, right here, right now.
We know just what you need, when you need it and know just how to deliver it. When all is said and done, no one does it like a Pisces.
