If you had only 72 hours to live, what would you do?
Not many people are aware of this, but some butterflies only live up to 72 hours.
If you’re a dreamer, then life never slows down for you. You’re constantly trying to accomplish things in the fast lane.
If you want to make your dreams come true, you can’t just sit back and expect everything to take place without effort.
Seek out what you want and strive to make those things happen. By doing this, you will create everlasting memories and the adventures of a lifetime.
Don’t be too concerned about money. If the dollar signs are all you’re thinking about, stop and take a second to think about what really matters in life. Is it money? Or is it love, passion, ambition, integrity, honesty and all the things that make you happy?
Money will fall into place where it’s needed, not wanted.
Go out there and get what you want. Ask for what you want. Always walk around with a positive attitude and put good vibes into the world.
Let the adventure feed your soul and let the thrill of life consume you.
Here are seven ways to live a wild and free life:
Believe in spontaneity
If you want to live a wild and free life, believe in being spontaneous. Adventure and spontaneity go hand in hand.
Be willing to leave your bed at 2 am just because your friend needs you as a wing man/woman. Book that last-minute trip because you ironically have just enough money in your bank account to do it.
"Because I’m doing this for the thrill of it, killin’ it, never not chasing a million things I want, and I am only as young as the minute is, full of it..." – Lorde, "Tennis Court"
Just do something crazy today that makes you feel alive and free.
Travel
Enjoy what traveling has to offer. From my own personal experience, traveling sheds a whole new light on life.
Different countries show me different things every single time. Learn about different languages and live in that culture. Dive into the unknown.
Just recently, I went to Costa Rica for spring break and there, people constantly shouted, “PURA VIDA!” which translates to “pure life.”
The people there honestly showed me what it’s like to live a “pure life,” and it was so beautiful that I never want to stop living that way.
"I’ve got the world on a string, sitting on a rainbow, got the string around my finger, what a world, what a life, I’m in love." – Frank Sinatra, "I’ve Got The World On A String"
Everything was so raw and authentic and came straight from the heart.
Love the life you’re already living
Get to a point where you truly love the life you already have and venture out to make it even better. Cherish it.
Always have a smile on your face because you’re so ecstatic about what’s in store for you.
Don’t compare your life to anybody else’s; no two lives are the same. You do you and let them do them. Let the lives of others inspire your own life in unforeseen ways.
If you’re not happy with the life you currently have, be creative and obtain the life you do want. It may not be easy, but it’s definitely worth the try.
Be real
Be authentic. Be genuine. Be true. Be pure. The more you can live your life this way without the lies, the jealousy, the bad intentions and so many other things, then the happier you will be.
It’s easy to be honest, so just do it. It’s easy to be honest simply because situations will always turn out better if you tell the truth from the beginning.
I’ve learned this the hard way.
"You got that sh*t that somebody would look for, but won’t find." – Drake, "The Real Her"
Surround yourself with people who empower you
Learn from the other adventurous souls wandering around out there. Let them teach you a thing or two. I guarantee they have some insight to offer you. Make friends as you travel.
Be happy to see others succeed and chances are, they, too, will be incredibly happy to see you succeed as well.
Be around those who inspire you and want to support you as you live your dream.
Don’t surround yourself with those who make you bite your tongue
If you’re around people who make you refrain from saying what you want because you’re trying to avoid conflict, then maybe it’s time to remove them from your life.
This doesn’t have to be a negative thing, just think of it like this: I don’t want to be in a situation where I’m walking on eggshells around other people. I want to be the truest of true with everyone.
This is why it’s important to get to know people so you can see who brings out the best in you. Once you find those people, hold them dearly and treasure them.
See the best in people
Offer the benefit of the doubt. Is it okay to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and see the very best in them?
Absolutely. Don’t be afraid to believe in someone. Don’t be afraid to believe they’re being honest.
As wild as this may sound, let your intuition guide you when it comes to trusting people. If your trust is broken, you’ll know for the future.
Be consistent and persistent with what you want in life. Every second you get, take the time to work toward your dream. It’s the most valuable time you have.
"Anything worth having always takes some time to pursue." — G-Eazy verse, "Time" by Skizzy Mars
Bottom line: Don’t waste your precious time living a life you don’t want to be living. Treat the world exactly how you want it to treat you.
It’s inevitable what can happen as soon as you start giving back the love the world has so graciously given you.
