This Easy PSL Nail Art Is Perfect For Your National Coffee Day Selfie

Fresh off the box office success of It and news of the Hocus Pocus remake, it seems like everyone is ready for Halloween to get here. But in all of your excitement, don't forget the true first holiday of fall: National Coffee Day is on Sept. 29. This little-known hero is the prime opportunity to hoist your PSL or cold brew cup ceremoniously into the air and "plandid" into oblivion. The key to the shot? Effing amazing nails, of course, but just any old manicure won't do. National Coffee Day nail art is the true gift of this day, which also offers free coffee and discounts across the country. But back to the nail art.

Java lovers are going to flip over the DIY design created by celebrity nail artist Jin Soon Choi. Choi is famous in New York City for turning concierge manicures for celebs (which she shuffled back and forth to on her bicycle) into a best-selling line of nail polish with the coolest collaborations around. No joke, no one's tips are more hip than Choi's. Her style is also completely within reach of us nail plebeians, because she eschews gimmicks like nail piercings and crazy long lengths in favor of simply beautiful, healthy nails.

Choi's OG business model, going from client to client by biking through the streets of NYC, came about through divine inspiration. “I worked hard. I had a lot of good ideas. And I had guardian angels," she explained to Allure. "One client gave me an idea: Go to people's houses and do their nails. Another gave me a bicycle. So I put my nail kit in the basket and became…Bicycle Jin!"

These days, Choi works with the likes of Beyoncé, Hailey Baldwin, and Anne Hathaway, when she's not developing new shades for her eponymous collection of nail polish or behind the scenes at a photo shoot. And her work style sounds oddly familiar — she burns the midnight oil like the rest of us. "I will stay up really, really late researching ideas for my nail line on Google," Choi told the New York Times. "I love Google Images. I often get the best creative ideas late at night."

So, how exactly did Choi turn a piping hot brown beverage into chic wearable nail art?  The legendary nail artist channeled more of an espresso than a Pumpkin Spice Latte. According to her publicist, "Jin's inspiration was the foam on coffee that creates tiny little bubbles." So frothin' genius.

Without further adeiu, prepare to be energized through your eyes instead of your mouth with this beauty:
