#IDEAchat: A Platform Bridging The Collegiate And Entrepreneurial Worlds

by Kayla Inglima

For entrepreneurs today, the market is teeming with opportunity. It seems like the next big idea, product or business is always right around the corner. With the right skill set, motivation and determination, the entrepreneurial world can be your oyster.

However, it isn't always just about motivation and opportunity. To become successful as a young entrepreneur, you need an understanding of the market, as well as connections and support from investors and peers. Most universities across the country try to prepare their business students with these unique skills so that they enter the entrepreneurial world with a stacked tool belt. However, one university is doing this with an interactive platform that goes beyond the status quo, called #IDEAChat. Launching this week, #IDEAChat combines entrepreneurs, investors, students and faculty into a web-chat platform to tackle issues that matter to the world.

#IDEAchat is structured around being valuable for not only the participating members, but also the audience, providing a platform for insight and discussion that anyone involved in, or aspiring to be involved in, entrepreneurship can learn and benefit from.

The list of guests this week include an investor from CNY, a current student entrepreneur, an international communications specialist, a McKinsey innovator, and even the COO of Elite Daily. It's definitely something worth tuning in to. For more information, visit the #IDEAchat site and see the week's concluding schedule below.
