By Doing What You Love, Success Will Follow
People are always worried about what they are going to end up doing with their lives. They are worried about how much money they are going to make, they are worried about the potential of advancement and they are worried about how many hours they are going to have to put in to have a stable income and fulfilling life.
These are questions that can be found within the thought process of almost every individual on their way to becoming a member of the work force after graduating from college.
No one wants to end up being continuously bored with their life with a 9-5 and having every day being exactly as monotonous as the previous one. It’s a routine-based life that makes you a no-name pedestrian with a balance on your mortgage when you’re dead. No one wants to fall into this trap and everyone is always searching for ways to do something that they actually like to make a living, but it is in this stage where they usually get stuck.
It’s no secret that if you get stuck doing something you aren’t at all passionate about to make a living, you are most likely going to be miserable no matter how much monetary success you attain. To truly live a valuable life with any type of purpose, you need to do what you love, follow your heart and listen to your intuitions. By doing so, success will have no choice but to follow.
“Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happiness that you had thought could never be yours.” Dale Carnegie
Instead of worrying about what you are going to do to make a lot of money, you need to worry about what you actually enjoy doing every single day. Whatever it may be, there has to be some sort of way you can make money from it.
This will allow your creativity to flourish and your outlook on life to change for the better since you’ll be excited to get to work each day. When you are excited about something you are focused and when you are focused you will continue to spread the beauty of your passion with the rest of the world no matter how many times you fail at doing so along the way.
Your life should be about waking up every morning, rushing to get to your office not because you have to but because you actually want to. With every new day comes a new chance to grow, a new way to touch others with your passion. That is how all the successful people in this world managed to make something out of their lives.
People that loved to drink alcohol started a a vodka company that is now is worth a billion dollars. People that loved investment banking opened up their own hedge fund, people that loved the capabilities of technology created companies like Apple and Microsoft. What allowed them to get this far was their love for what they were doing and the creativity and innovation that follows.
We all have our own unique gifts and talents. Your are given these traits for a reason, they are not meant to just sit in the back of your head for your whole life until you realize the mistake of not exploiting them to the outside world. If you are not following your passion and dream, you are going to end up helping someone else follow theirs.
“If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.”Alan Armstrong
Once you do follow your passion, you will discover things about yourself that you would of never even known. Work is such a big part of all of our lives, so why not make the best out of the the activity takes up the most time out of your day?
Of course this takes courage, and the average person has no courage or balls. You need to find that courage deep inside of you and break out of your comfort zone. Everyone wants success but the reason not all of them attain it is because they are too afraid to step out of their comfort zone to pursue what they truly love to do.
Do you really want to be one of those people that can’t wait to retire at the age of 65, or do you want to be that person that has to be forcefully pulled away from his business because he is too old and it’s time for someone else to take over?
As simple as it may seem, life is extremely complex. But it is only as complicated as you decide to make it. You ultimately have all the power in to decide which direction your life takes, so stop blaming other people or luck for what has become of you so far. Luck only happens when hard work meets opportunity.
There is no secret formula for you to get rich fast or be a millionaire overnight, it just doesn’t happen that way. It’s one thing to want something but it’s another thing to be actually willing to put the work in and never give up in the process. There will be moments where you feel like you are on a cliff but those are the true testaments of your willpower and how bad you want a life you have always dreamed of.
Always choose to focus on the things you want to attract in your life, always choose to focus on that which is positive rather than negative, and picture yourself as already having the life that you want for yourself. By doing so, you will attract all that you need in order to make your dreams become a reality.
“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.” Emerson
Your mind does not know how to differentiate between what is real and what is not, and by repeating these words to yourself, you will attract the right people, the right ideas, the right circumstances, and all that you need in order to become the best version of your yourself imaginable.
So if you are willing to start the voyage of discovery into unknown lands and rediscover yourself, if you are willing to experience some short term discomfort so that you can later experience immense happiness, you will find a way to do what you love and find the most fulfilling form of success as a result.
