The Luxurious Lifestyle of Larry Ellison - Elite Daily

by Ryan Babikian

Usually when writing things like this, we will give you a lengthy intro on the person to exhibit how established they are. We do not need to do this for Larry Ellison, as not only is he one of the richest men in the world with a net worth of $40 Billion, but Ellison is also one of the world's biggest playboys.

He absolutely embodies the lifestyle of the billionaire genius who lives a life of luxury and excess, always getting whatever he wants. Without further adieu, here is a glimpse at the unparalleled life of Larry Ellison:

Owns a gigantic golf course.

Ellison owns a 249 acre estate in Rancho Mirage, California known as Porcupine Creek which has a notable signature asset: a world-renowned private golf course worth 42.9 million. He is often seen playing golf with the former CEO of HP.

Real Estate Tycoon

To call him a property junky would be an underestimation. It is said that Ellison is the world’s most avid trophy-home buyer.  His strategy is simple: he finds areas he likes, buys massive amounts of property there, and builds whatever he can imagine.

His has a $110 million flagship mansion in Woodside, California, was made to look like a feudal Japanese village, and even has a two-acre man made lake. Ellison also spent $65 million to purchase five beachfront properties in Malibu in order to build one compound in 2003.

Has his own Air Force

Ellison has collected a fleet of expensive jets and planes. His favorite is an Italian Marchetti jet, which he flies often. He once sued the City of San Jose after it cited him for too many late-night landings in violation of a noise control ordinance. He won and they changed the city’s laws just to allow him his midnight plane rides.

Extreme Sports Competitor

Ellison partnered with BMW to create the BMW Oracle Racing, which won the 33rd Americas cup. It's a 90-foot BMW Oracle sailboat. It was the first U.S. competitor to win the Americas cup since 1992.

Nobody has nicer cars

The only thing bigger than Ellison’s fleet of planes is his fleet of rare cars.  Among the best is the McLaren F1, the fastest ever to hit the road.

His yacht is huge

Ellison reportedly spent more than $200 million to build Rising Sun, a 452-foot-long, five story tall yacht. It has Jacuzzi bathrooms, a gym, a spa and salon, a wine cellar, a private cinema and a basketball court on the main deck that doubles as a helicopter pad. It was the 4th largest in the world when it was built.

Founder and CEO of Oracle.

He took the startup he founded to be the largest enterprise software providers in the world. Ellison’s company, Oracle, is worth $140 Billion.

Bought a piece of Hawaii

Last week, Ellison purchased one of the larger islands of Hawaii, Lanai, for $600 million. He plans to turn the island into a thriving economic center in Hawaii, which has pleased the thousands of inhabitants on the island who were worried what his plans were.

Steve Jobs is his photographer

At one of Ellison’s several weddings, Steve Jobs was the official wedding photographer. Literally, no other man in the world could have commissioned the Apple Founder to do that.

Cameo in Ironman

To make Robert Downey jr’s portrayal of Tony Stark as a billionaire playboy who runs a tech/defense company more realistic, the producers commissioned Ellison to have a cameo to establish Stark as “cool”.

He is a serious Womanizer

Ellison, like all Elite men, is a womanizer. He has been linked to countless celebrities, heiresses, and other notable figures over the world. He is also divorced 4 times. Ellison can often be found dating three Oracle employees simultaneously… literally.

Elite.
