Billboard Will Host Its First-Ever Hot 100 Music Festival In August

by Robert Anthony

When people think of the summer season, there are a couple staples that come to mind: laying poolside for hours on end or breathing in the mouthwatering aromas from a barbecue grill.

Well, attending an awesome music festival with friends is another summer-themed image that probably pops into your head.

That's why I'm excited to announce the first Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival in Wantagh, New York.

The event takes place from August 22 to August 23, and the lineup is awesome.

The star-studded event, held at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, will include performances by Skrillex, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, Axwell & Ingrosso and Lil Wayne.

Billboard, in partnership with Live Nation, also scheduled a special guest performance by Justin Bieber -- set to be his first performance in New York City in over three years.

A recent press release regarding the Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival reads,

Fans will see some of their favorite artists at one of the festival’s three stages, including the famed Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, as well as two additional stages with one located on the beach.

Billboard remains the leading global destination for charts, trends and innovations within the music industry.

So, it's only right it has its own festival with some of the best people in the game headlining!
