AraabMUZIK Hospitalized After Shooting

Abraham Orellana, most popularly known as celebrated hip hop producer AraabMUZIK, has been shot and hospitalized.

In a statement released late Thursday, Orellana’s publisit said he is “currently alive and well” after being shot Wednesday night, noting the renowned producer he had been “in the wrong place at the wrong time” while hanging out with friends.

While the statement did reveal that he was in his hometown of Providence, R.I. when he was shot, the exact location was not specified.

His manager, George Moore, a record label executive and producer known as DukeDaGod posted on Twitter a picture of Orellana in a hospital bed Thursday with the words: “Everyone wish my brother (at)araabmuzik a healthy & pleasant recovery!!!!”

The statement says Orellana appreciates fan support and “Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can.”

Our prayers go out to Abraham and his family, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
