While speaking at Billboard’s FutureSound Conference, deadmau5 was asked about his rather large annual earnings. Forbes recently ranked the renowned electronic musician at number six atop their World’s 10 Richest DJs list, Joel Zimmerman insists that he makes nowhere near the $11.5 million that is noted.

After I saw the article, I called my manager and said, ‘Yo, what the fuck? I’m $9 million short, dude. We gotta talk. Nobody is making that kind of money.

Now we’re pretty sure that EDM DJs are raking in a pretty penny for their shows and appearances these days, so do you believe that deadmau5 is only making $2 million a year?
