Made Event is proud to announce John Digweed & Danny Tenaglia, along with Pleasurekraft and Sleepy & Boo at Governors Beach Club on Governors Island, NYC,Saturday, August 11. This historic event sees two true dance music trendsetters take over one of New York City’s most spectacular summer party hotspots.

With a long-established career as one of the planet’s most popular DJs, John Digweed’s sets never fall out of favor with clubbers the world over. From deeper house to techno and everything in between, a new generation is learning that there’s nothing quite like being locked into a John Digweed set.

His list of groundbreaking achievements includes Top 40 smashes like “Heaven Scent,” being voted DJ Mag’s #1 DJ, a Hollywood film score, tours with David Bowie and Moby, and a legendary DJ residency at famed NYC nightclub Twilo. His Transitions radio show is one of the world’s most successful dance music shows, broadcast across 45 countries to a staggering weekly audience of over 14 million.

To top it off, for the last 12 years, his label Bedrock has been a mothership of creative ingenuity and integrity that continually releases the world’s best producers — as evidenced by the recent release of “TREZZZ” with Nick Muir and Guy J (under the name J.D.N.M.G.J), a major highlight on John’s latest ‘Live In Cordoba’ 3xCD album.

Danny Tenaglia’s storied success came not behind a major label release, or a world tour, or a radio hit remix, but a dedication to the art of DJing honed over the last 30 years. His legacy began at seminal New York clubs Twilo, Tunnel, and Vinyl — the latter of which saw the start of his landmark, music-centered “Be Yourself” residency parties.

In the early 2000s, Danny went on to become internationally celebrated, throwing hugely successful annual parties at Miami’s Winter Music Conference, taking Ibiza by storm, and earning a GRAMMY nomination for his remix of Depeche Mode’s “I Feel Loved.” His commitment to the music and the dancefloor keeps each DJ set uniquely special, as he incorporates both new music and old, spanning from the halcyon days of disco through house, tribal and future techno.

Don’t miss these two originators of the dance music scene — joined by the seductive, deep, groove heavy, underground techno inspired music of Pleasurekraft and New York underground powerhouse duo Sleepy & Boo – on Governors Island on August 11.  The 18+ event will take place from 4 p.m. to midnight at Governors Beach Club, which encompasses a 4-story tent with open walls, an open air beach, VIP areas, a state of the art sound and light system, over 100 feet of bar space, and scenic views of New York City.

Apparently, Perfume Made Of Pig Pheromones Makes Yapping Dogs Shut The F*ck Up

We’ve all been there: exhausted, comfortably tucked under piles of blankets in our beds, on the verge of falling asleep… and then the neighbor’s dog starts barking. And he won’t. Stop. Barking. Or, it’s Saturday morning and, after a week of 6 am wake-up calls, you finally have a chance sleep in — until something […]

Yes, We Love EDM And No, We’re Not All On Drugs

As much as Andy Samberg and “SNL” like to make fun of it, the EDM scene is growing rapidly in America. Festival junkies and bass heads alike are uniting to celebrate this revolutionary genre of music. But as popular as it has become, electronic dance music still contains a relatively small, almost ominous group of […]
