If you’ve been keeping up with the whereabouts of the Swedes over the past few weeks you are more than well aware that they’ve been searching for a venue in New York City to host a benefit for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. This Tuesday, they finally announced that they will be hosting a one-of-a-kind black-tie rave at Hammerstein Ballroom as a fundraiser for Sandy victims.

The funds will support immediate aid needs – including food, cleaning materials and hygiene supplies – as well as long-term relief and restoration.  New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and First Lady Mary Pat Christie launched the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund four days after Hurricane Sandy devastated the Garden State, to help communities recover, rebuild and come back stronger than before.

Speaking about the event, Swedish House Mafia stated, “New York City has been a massive part of our journey and there was no better way to say thank you than to help out along with so many other worthwhile events. We had the night off in NYC before our Madison Square Garden gig…and what better way to spend it!”

The event is not only unique in terms of required attire–a “black-tie rave”–but also unique in how fans can grab a chance to see the Swedes live before they start their lengthy stint of Manhattan performances. In a display of outstanding generosity from the EDM Titans the tickets will actually be auctioned off with 100% of the net proceeds being donated to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and The Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund.

General Admission tickets to the event will be auctioned at ticketmaster.com starting on Dec. 14th at 10am ES through Dec. 16th at 10pm EST. Starting bid is $100.00 per ticket and fans can purchase a minimum of 2 tickets and maximum of 4 tickets. To gather all the information you might need on the event, please visit blacktierave.com

Elite Daily is proud to announce that we will be giving away a pair of tickets to this one of a kind event. It Has Finally Been Revealed: The Real Reason Men Hate Shaving (Photo)

When I was around 13 years old, hair mysteriously started growing in places on my body where it previously never had. Like most people, I learned how to deal with most of it (frequent and intense laser surgery), but I never really got used to having to shave my face every few days. After a […]

This Penis-Shaped Cloud Makes Having Your Head In The Clouds Awkward

I could sit here and try and drum up 100 to 150 words about the deeper philosophical meaning of this cloud — I would probably say something about Freud, make a pun involving the word “cumulus” and then move on to the next story. Instead, I’m going to sit here and write about what I […]
