Industry Rumor: Drake’s October’s Very Own Inks Label Deal With Warner Bros. Records

Today, sources are claiming that Drake will be inking a joint venture deal between his own imprint, October’s Very Own, and Warner Bros. Records.

Unlike Rick Ross‘ publicly visible endeavor, Drake‘s move was what we would consider rather stealthy . Having given verbal career-boosting co-signs to the likes of The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky,  it didn’t seem like Drake was looking to dive into the business of signing artists.

Although we’ve yet to receive word from Drake himself,  if Billboard’s report is accurate, he will continue to release his own solo albums under Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic Records while having the ability to sign and distribute artists through October’s Very Own/Warner Bros.
