If you’ve ever seen “MTV Cribs,” you know rapper’s homes are usually lavish and insane. They typically look like homes out of “Scarface” and you wouldn’t really be surprised if there was a tiger chained up in the backyard.

That’s why Kendrick Lamar’s new home seems absolutely crazy by rap standards. It’s a four-bedroom home in Eastvale, California, which is a good hour outside of Los Angeles. The home cost Kendrick a mere $524,000 and is under 8,000 square feet.

Kendrick has always been a shining example of a rapper who makes an effort to not get caught up in the trappings of the lifestyle. He doesn’t smoke or drink. He doesn’t get blinded by wealth or fame. He focuses on his music and has condemned his contemporaries for not doing the same.

So, maybe it’s not that surprising that Lamar would buy a quaint home like this. I mean, the home itself looks like perfectly nice, with a decent backyard and a pool. But it’s just not what you think of when you think of a big-time rap superstar.

I’m glad to see that Kendrick is being smart with his cash and setting a good example for his fans and fellow rappers. If only he were around to teach MC Hammer a thing or two about responsible spending.

Adorable Little Girl Wakes Up Dancing To Ed Sheeran’s ‘Don’t’ (Video)

Children’s music is horrendously painful to listen to, and my heart seriously goes out to any parent who’s forced to sit through hours of baby-voiced “musicians” singing about wheels on busses and crap like that. The thing is, it’s not even totally clear if babies enjoy that obnoxious children’s music; they hardly react. Baby Maisie, […]
