Earlier last year Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett got together in the studio and recorded a flirty cover of Rodgers and Hart’s “The Lady is a Tramp” for Bennett’s 2011 Duets II LP. Almost a year later, there is now news that two may be releasing a collaborative jazz album.

The duo will rekindle their artistic fire on an entire new album, Bennett has told Rolling Stone.

Of all things, she called me from New Zealand and said, ‘I want to do a jazz album with you,’” Bennett, 86, said in an interview.

And I said, ‘You got it!’ So that’s one of the things we’re gonna do.

“We’re gonna do a jazz album with Marion Evans, a big swing band, and I’m looking forward to it because a lot of people don’t know it, but she’s a phenomenal jazz singer,” Bennett says, adding the record will consist entirely of songs from the catalog of a mystery songwriter.

“I can’t mention the composer because I don’t want anybody to do it before we do it, but there’s a great composer that’s very underrated, very famous, but not as famous as Gershwin or Porter. But he did as many hit songs as anybody, and so we’re gonna do a big swinging album.”

When will sessions happen? “As soon as I can,” says Bennett.

Asked if he sees himself performing with Gaga soon, Bennett says, “Let’s see what happens. She’s a good friend and I respect that she’s so creative, that every day she changes, she has so many ideas and carries them out. She just never stops with it. I call her the musical Picasso. Her energy is just phenomenal.”

It’s this time of year again. We love the freshness that takes the place of humid mornings, but we hate pulling sweater after sweater over our heads because we aren’t quite ready for cold weather just yet. Out Of Nowhere! The RKO Vine Revolution Is Far From Over (Video)

If you had asked me a week ago about the best way to take a compilation of fail videos to the next level, one obvious answer would have come to mind: Splice in a clip of a sad trombone after every face-plant and brush with sterilization. However, that would have been before I knew about […]

After her death, the 59-year-old’s family members would sometimes send texts to the number to show their love and cope with the loss. They explained that, even though they knew Lesley wouldn’t […]

If Whoever Says ‘I Love You’ First Loses, You Shouldn’t Want To Win

How is it that so many people can be afraid of three simple words: “I,” “love” and “you”? The answer is rather obvious – saying “I love you” to a person is saying that not only do you care about this person immensely, but you also would do just about anything to keep that person […]
