Lupe Fiasco was removed from the stage at an event that was honoring Obama’s reelection at Hamilton Live in Washington D.C. The Chicago native and hip-hop artist allegedly took several verbal shots at the president, and those in attendance weren’t pleased!

Ironically, the rapper is a native of the same city President Obama was a community builder in! Lupe performed the song “Words I Never Said,” a single from his third LP Lasers, and stated that he did not vote for Obama in November.

Lupe continued to perform the same song and go on rant about Obama and was eventually asked to leave the stage!

Local Washington journalist Josh Rogin documented the situation on his Twitter as in unfolded:

Lupe Fiasco is known for having very controversial views and has been known for being anti-establishment for a while as well… whether that’s with his own record label or the U.S. government.

Wonder if the two Chi-town natives will ever have a conversation to ease the situation?
