Preview For Steve Aoki And Nervo At Pier 94 On December 27th

I’ve written up tons of previews on Pier 94 as a venue, mainly because it’s one of the best, and a lot of DJs love that they can do anything they want in this big open space.

A lot of people from Elite have had some amazing experiences in this absolutely amazing spot. Keep in mind that before the artists arrive the warehouse style space is completely empty and the teams and talent get to team up to turn it into the artist’s vision. Pier 94 is a show and not typically a club. If you’re not going VIP or entertaining business clients, you should definitely go all out in full rave garb.

When it comes to Steve Aoki his style is very hit or miss. You either love everything he does or you hate it. Over the past year, he has done many colaborations that have gone under the radar. Mentioned in his past interview with Elite Daily, his song Beat Down, featuring Iggy Azaela’s hip hop fire, is a must download before attending this show.

It has a different feel then Aoki’s typical sounds and is for sure one of his greatest songs of 2012. Of course we all will be hoping to hear some of his bangers such as Turbulence, his song done with Laidback Luke and Lil Jon, and of course No Beef, done with his partner in crime Afrojack with vocals by Miss Palmer.

Here is my only disclaimer. If you’re new to a Steve Aoki show and don’t know what to expect, do not go up on someone’s shoulders towards the front of the venue. You will get caked in the face.

When finding out Nervo was added to this show, I knew it was a must see. Besides the fact that these woman are gorgeous and making a name for all woman in this industry, their beats and melodies are perfection. After seeing them at Electric Zoo, you can just tell that they are going to be around for a while with a long successful career.

Like Home, a song done with melodic mastermind Nicky Romero, was a chart topper the day it came out and must be played on this night at this fabulous venue. I have a feeling people will hear the venue singing all the way from the Garden.

A must download is a song they released in 2011 with Afrojack and Steve Aoki called, We’re All No One. The lyrics are extremely addicting and the beginning has that “Madonna pop feel”. Nervo was an act on my bucket list and should be on yours too until you see them at Pier 94!

With the year coming to an end, you only have a few more shows to catch. Your friends are only home from college for the next few weeks and you should utilize that time wisely going to this amazing show! If you’re older and always have friends home, everyone can appreciate good music and you should be in attendance as well.
