They Don’t Love Sosa: Stupid Things White People Say About Chief Keef

As Chief Keef turns himself into jail today after allegedly missing court dates and refusing to pay child support, haters around the world celebrate.

Keef has been maligned for his violence, stupidity and negative influence on children.

Whenever something bad happens in Chicago, it’s his fault. But the worst thing about Keef’s rise to the mainstream is listening to white people react to him. Here’s the worst of it:

“He’s not even trying to enunciate!”

White people love to complain about their inability to understand rappers from different regions, or who have a specific dialect. But Baba Wawas (Barbara Walters) gets a pass.

“Violence in Chicago is a really big problem.”

Yes, and you know nothing about it, so stop acting like it affects you.

“Why is his hair like that?”

Because unlike your vegan buddy with blond dreads, it’s part of his culture.

“Why doesn’t he rap about conscious things? Or have intricate, dictionary lyrics?”

These archaic standards of what makes rap music good have no bearing on modern society.

“Glory Boyz sounds like a gay porn production company.”

You’ve got him dead to rights on that one.

Bang Bang.
