If you follow Jay-Z on Twitter, then you know that for HOV to share something on his neglected social media page, it must be serious.

This Sunday, the living legend announced he would be releasing a new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, in roughly two weeks, but releasing it first for Samsung Galaxy users for free on July 4.

Jay rarely tweets, but in the past 24 hours he has sent out SIX tweets, noting that he had fulfilled his “yearly allotment.”

Hov not only mentions his own upcoming release in the string of tweets, but WaleJ.Cole and Kanye‘s as well. According to Jay, they are defining the “new rules!”

Jay-Z is clearly a few steps ahead of everyone in the industry, which would explain his massive success over the years.
