This Saturday December, 1st the Hammerstein Ballroom of NYC will host bass music sensation UKF. This British based organization has been a worldwide hub for bass music lovers (drum and bass and dubstep) providing the best and brightest events, news, tracks, and performances on a consistent basis since being founded in 2009.
This event marks the first time that the UKF family of bass-superstars has graced the dance-floors of the US and it will certainly start off with a bang here in NYC. Their first solo show has generated an insane amount of buzz following a 35 date North American tour of UKF’s own Gemini and Koan Sound, so you can count of them to really bring the house down at Hammerstein’s 3500 person capacity ballroom with a massive line-up of headliners like Chase & Status, Borgore, Gemini, Delta Heavy, Bare Noize, Dirtyphonics, Xilent, and Alex English. As you can see, UKF is wisely pulling out all the stops for their first venture here in the states.
Elite will be doing full comprehensive coverage of the event but we wanted to take some time to educate you on some of the highlights to be expected from Saturday’s landmark show. UKF is no secret to the world of electronic music but it has remained a hidden gem in the US until this time. There will be so much bass heard throughout the raving Hammerstein during this show that its very foundation may very well shake to its core from all of the heavy drops and dirty wobbles.
Borgore will literally and figuratively “take the cake” at this show following his recent collaboration with pop sensation Miley Cyrus entitled “Bitches Love Cake”. This release was a real shocker in the pop music scene as a testament of the” here and now” status of dubstep as well as the clear transition into electronic waves that pop music stars are veering into. This booty loving DJ (just check his twitter) will certainly make sure the hips are throbbing and the ladies are feeling extra loose when he takes over the decks.
Don’t overlook Chase & Status because these multi-award winning, platinum-record selling producers will bring some real weight to this bass-addicts convention. Hits from their double platinum album “No More Idols” have become common place on Americas dub scene and will keep fans wanting more throughout this momentous evening.
Make sure you shout out to Elite if you’re at the show. We’ve been anticipating this one for weeks and can guarantee a great night for bass enthusiasts near and far.
