Pharrell’s “Happy” is the one thing the whole world has in common. Whether it’s used to celebrate people with Down Syndrome, or to ease a suffering cancer patient through his struggles, the song has become an anthem for empowerment, beauty and youthfulness.

No longer.

Now, a group of elderly people in Italy have recorded their own video version of “Happy,” entitled, “We Are Old.”

It’s a testament to a wildly under-appreciated and under-represented portion of our society. Old people are just like us, except they need a little more love and attention.
