Chinese Millionaire Keeps Street Cleaner Job To ‘Set An Example’ For Her Children
So apparently in this country called China, rich people are actually setting a good example for children by showing them how hard work pays off in the most obvious forms possible.
A female millionaire from Wuhan City in Central China has reportedly spent the last 15 years working six days a week as a street cleaner.
When asked about this decision, she replied by saying that she wants to show kids that it’s this type of hard work that could bring someone millions of dollars in the future.
Yu Youzhen is a former vegetable farmer who made her fortune through real estate development. After selling her land in 1998, she has been employed as a sanitation worker ever since.
Yu owns 17 apartments and is worth at least one million dollars, but wakes up at 3 AM to work a job that pays a meager 1,420 yuan (~$230) a month.
“I want to set an example for my son and daughter, a person can’t just sit at home and ‘eat away’ a whole fortune,” said Yu.
