Gannett Shares Up 5%

Shares of newspaper publisher and broadcaster Gannett Co. GCI +3.82% were up 5% Tuesday after the company’s USA Today made its debut on Amazon.com’s AMZN +2.51% Kindle Fire.

The application is designed to bring the newspaper’s distinct color pages to the Kindle Fire, which has a 7-inch color touch screen.

USA Today is now available on all major platforms and devices including Android (phones and tablets), Google Chrome Web Store, iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Windows-based Tablets, Windows Phone and the Kindle Fire.
