If you think your boss is a psychopath, you may not be too far off in your assessment, as a new study reveals that psychopaths are more likely to succeed in business.

That’s right, while you’re slaving away at work, opening doors for people, and being pleasant overall, you are actually destroying your chances at being the head honcho one day.

According to accredited psychologist Oliver James, there are three classifications of people who have climbed the corporate ranks: the psychopath, the Machiavellian and the narcissist; along with a fourth beast — the one who possesses all three traits.

So how does one deal with a boss so terrible?

“If you do not develop the skills to deal with them, they will eat you for breakfast,” warns James.

I suppose you should read his new book, Office Politics.
