Yet another social media site saw massive success in 2012. Tumblr managed to generate $13 million in revenue last year, and plans to bring in around $100 million this year.

David Karp, the founder and CEO of Tumblr explained that his company didn’t really have a model for revenue, but were more focused on improving the site and it’s traffic. Entrepreneurship takes patience.

Tumblr gets roughly 18 billion page views per month, and was recently named one of the top 10 most trafficked websites in the country. Karp has raised more than $125 million in funding so far, and has been using it to improve website operations.

Tumblr was valued at $800 million in September, which will only grow this year. David Karp is doing his thing, and Tumblr looks to be on a roll.

This Unreal Glass Treehouse Will Put Your Childhood To Shame (Photos)

Treehouses are not just for children anymore. Russian design studio A.Masow has created a house nestled around a 40-foot fir tree among the Kazakhstan mountains that puts your 10-year-old cousin’s shoe box treehouse to shame. The treehouse — or, rather, tree palace — was inspired by the architecture of Apple stores and can be found outside the city of Almaty. […]

The ‘Sharknado 2′ Trailer Proves That Not All Sequels Are Created Equal

Buckle your seatbelts, motherf*ckers. The trailer for “Sharknado 2″ is here. The Syfy original movie is hilariously titled “Sharknado 2: The Second One” and it looks balls-to-the-wall crazy. It’s so crazy, in fact, that the narrator in the trailer literally says “f*ck it” half way through, stops talking and lets the madness take hold. This […]
