Creepy Video Of Guy Introducing 'New GF' May Lead Cops To Missing Teen

Youtube

Wisconsin police have relaunched an investigation into the cold case of missing woman Kayla Berg after a creepy YouTube video emerged.

The footage is entitled, "Hi Walter! I got a new gf today!" It shows a man discussing a new girl in his life in a vlog-style entry.

The last 14 seconds of the video, however, show a screaming woman gagged and bound on a bathroom floor.

It's recently gone viral even though it was posted years ago, on October 11, 2009.

Police are now looking into possible links with the Kayla Berg missing persons case.

She vanished from Antigo exactly two months prior to the creation of this video after spending the night out with a friend.

Berg was dropped off outside her boyfriend's home and hasn't been seen since.

The girl screaming at the end of the creepy video does look similar to Berg.

Antigo Police Chief Eric Roller told waow.com,

We'll do whatever we can to find out who's in there and identify them. Sometimes that's hard on the web because of wherever this stuff may originate from.

Meanwhile, Berg's mom Hope Sprenger said the woman in the video does sound like her daughter.

It sounded like her, looked like her, it gave me chills. Disturbing. It made me sick to my stomach. The clothing could be a big possibility. We do believe she was wearing that type of shirt, we know she had jeans.

Attention was drawn to this case after it lay dormant for seven years because of an investigation into the video on imgur.com.

The video could easily be a hoax, but officers are working to evaluate its authenticity.

On Monday night, police visited the home of the man who made the video, but no one was home.

A spokesperson for Antigo Police Department said,

The Antigo Police Department has recently been made of a YouTube video titled: Hi Walter It's Me Patrick Video- I have a new girlfriend. This video was originally posted in October 2009, but has recently gone viral and many believe it is connected to our missing person Kayla Berg. The Antigo Police Department is actively investigating the origin of this video. If anyone has particular information as to the origin of the video or the identity of the individuals in the video please contact the Antigo Police Department.

The investigation continues.
