Creepy Video Shows Loch Ness Monster's Apparent Icy Relative In Alaska
We don't mean to alarm you, but the Loch Ness Monster might be right here in the US, and it will almost certainly kill your father and take your mother out for a nice steak dinner and never call her back.
A sea creature that looks quite like Nessie was spotted in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Craig McCaa, who works for the Bureau of Land Management, caught it slithering along the Chena River like that creep who keeps trying to slide into your DMs.
It looks like the mammoth creature is covered in ice. At first glance, you could mistake it for a piece of driftwood, but on closer inspection, you can make out an apparent head beneath the surface, though it never emerges.
*"X-Files" music*
Craig told adn.com the mysterious thing "never fully revealed itself."
He said,
I initially thought — and several people thought — it could be some rope that snagged on the bottom of the river with chunks of ice. Other people have mentioned everything from sea monster to giant sturgeon.
He continued,
It's strange thing. I don't know what I would have done if I had come by in a canoe or something. But looking from it above on the University Avenue bridge I didn't feel too threatened.
The video was posted on the Bureau of Land Management – Alaska Facebook page where it continues to attract thousands of views.
Speculation is maxing out over what the strange thing could be. Some believe it's a giant arctic alligator, while other dismiss it for clumps of weed and debris. One guy even suggested it was a moose hide because his eyesight is obviously very poor.
I like the guess it's a zombie salmon.
But it's clearly the Loch Ness Monster, so start panicking and lock up your mothers.
