Donald Trump Begs Us To Stop Fighting In Powerful Thanksgiving Video

Twitter

Still dragging your heels about Donald Trump becoming president-elect?

You should probably stop now.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you not to protest. Obviously as a journalist I believe in freedom of speech more than the average person. But if you're still spending your time waving around anti-Trump signs, then you are part of the problem.

You're the ones dividing America, not Trump.

It's not that your voice is falling on deaf ears -- believe me, we hear you loud and clear -- it's just not going to change anything.

Fact is, Trump's got a bed in the White House for the foreseeable future.

So, you can continue to tear a line down the middle of society, or suck it up and help your country thrive.

This is pretty much Trump's Thanksgiving message, but worded more presidentially.

Love him or hate him, you've got to agree -- what's the use of fighting?

In the video, posted on Twitter, he says,

We are very blessed to call this nation our home. And that's what America is -- it is our home. It's where we raise our families, care for our loved ones, look out for our neighbors, and live out our dreams. It's my prayer that on this Thanksgiving, we begin to heal our devisions and move forward as one country, strengthened by shared purpose and very, very common resolve. In declaring this national holiday, President Lincoln called upon Americans to speak with one voice and one heart -- and that's just what we have to do.

He continues,

We've just finished a long and bruising political campaign. Emotions are raw and tensions just don't heal overnight. It doesn't go quickly, unfortunately.

Trump stressed now is the time to make history together and citizens of America need to learn to trust each other, because "When America is unified, there is nothing beyond our reach."
