Michelle Obama doesn't want to be president? Say it isn't so!

On Thursday, President Obama crushed our dreams of FLOTUS ever running for president with six simple, but devastating, words.

While calling into SiriusXM's "Sway in the Morning," the president stated,

[Michelle] will never run for office.

Way to stab us in the heart, Mr. President.

He added,

She is as talented and brilliant a person as there is and I could not be prouder of her, but Michelle does not have the patience or the inclination to actually be a candidate herself. That's one thing y'all can take to the bank.

I don't want to take it to the bank -- I don't want to take it anywhere!

With that said, Michelle Obama's life is hers to live. You do you, FLOTUS.

We already knew Obama might not be interested in running for the highest office in the land.

In 2012, she stated,

One of the things you learn about yourself as you get older are what are your strengths and what are your interests. And for me, it's other stuff, that is not being the President. So I probably won't run... There are so many ways that you can help this country and the world, even if you're not president of the United States.

She definitely has a point, and it's pretty safe to say she will continue to serve as a massive source of inspiration for many people, regardless of what she does in the future.

Still, in recent weeks the first lady has definitely had a lot of people hoping she might run for office one day, after giving a series of powerful speeches on behalf of Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton.

Michelle Obama is unquestionably Clinton's most inspiring and effective surrogate.

The two appeared alongside one another for the first time on Thursday, and Clinton was clearly grateful for the first lady's support.

Seriously, is there anyone more inspiring than Michelle Obama?

President Obama has less than 100 days left in office, and it's pretty clear a lot of people are really going to miss having the Obamas in the White House.
