It's probably safe to say Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is one of the most popular figures in America, and perhaps even the world.

His sense of humor, incredible work ethic and unrelenting optimism make him a constant source of inspiration for millions of people. Just looking at him is motivation to hit the gym.

Johnson's rags to riches story is a testament to the fact you should never give up on your dreams. As he once put it,

In 1995 I had 7 bucks in my pocket and knew two things: I'm broke as hell and one day I won't be.

But what really makes him so likable is how humble he's remained in spite of being built like a tank and achieving an astonishing level of success.

It's clear Johnson is just a very genuine guy with a huge heart who sincerely cares about people.

Simply put, disliking "The Rock" is like hating sunshine or free ice cream.

For all of these reasons and more, it's pretty exciting to hear he's open to pursuing a career in politics in the future.

In a recent interview with British GQ, Johnson stated,

I'll be honest, I haven't ruled politics out. I'm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can't deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people's lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first.

Perhaps he'll run against (or alongside) Kanye West in 2020?

It might seem strange an actor would consider moving into the political arena, but both Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger did it, so it's hardly unprecedented.

Picturing "The Rock" in the White House is also just pretty amazing. He wouldn't even need protection from the US Secret Service, because who would be dumb enough to attack him?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson for president!
