I'm A Millennial And I Support Donald Trump: Here's Why

I was raised in an all-American family.

Both of my parents served in the United States Army and I currently have two brothers serving. We proudly have an American flag flying in our front yard. We love America and are so honored to call it home. My parents always encouraged me to pay attention to current affairs and politics.

I've never liked to officially call myself a “Republican” or “Democrat” because I believe labels are too limiting. I consider myself conservative but more than anything, I support politicians who I believe have the best interest of our country, America, in their heart.

I believe Donald Trump does.

America was founded on hard work, freedom, and opportunity. Over the years, we have gradually forgotten these core values.

Politicians have become so engrossed in pushing their own personal agendas that they've completely forgotten that our country should be their main focus, not their own personal appeal or goals.

Most people's first arguments against Donald Trump supporters are that he lacks a filter, and lacks experience.

Does Donald Trump say some inappropriate things? Absolutely.

Do I support all of the personal attacks he's made against people? No.

However, one thing Donald Trump has brought to politics is honesty, and I find that quite refreshing.

Politicians are experts at conniving their way to get what they want. They carefully choose every single word so that it may never be used against them. This leaves Americans often not knowing the truth.

Call Donald Trump blunt, but at least you always know what he's thinking… because I'm pretty sure he'd tell you.

Call Donald Trump blunt, but at least you always know what he's thinking.

As for the lack of experience, Trump might not have the political resume of Hillary Clinton, but a resume really means nothing when Clinton has shown such tremendous lack of good judgment when put in positions of power.

Clinton is not trustworthy.

In her time as Secretary of State, she used her own private email server to handle classified top secret information.

If you can get over that mistake and still consider her for President, try getting over this one.

Hillary Clinton is directly tied to the tragic attacks in Benghazi on September 11, 2012 resulting in the deaths U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith. Her inability to provide proper security contributed to these heroes' deaths.

So when Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton has “poor judgment,” you bet I agree with him.

If Clinton failed to fulfill her duties as Secretary of State, how could anyone possibly believe she is fit to run an entire COUNTRY?

Ever heard the phrase “Don't judge a book by its cover?” My advice to my fellow Americans: Don't let Hillary Clinton's practiced and composed on-air presence steer you in the wrong direction.

Don't let Hillary Clinton's practiced and composed on-air presence steer you in the wrong direction.

Donald Trump might not have the political resume, but he does have tremendous experience running successful companies that shows he is fit to run a prosperous country.

Some Clinton supporters will argue that Trump has been handed all of his success, but I beg to differ. There are tons of people who are born into money that don't run as many successful businesses as Trump.

Trump knows how to hire the right people to get the job done, and he will do the same for our country. He's already made a fantastic decision in his running mate, Mike Pence.

I always support the candidate who has in mind the best interest of this country. For me, this is Donald Trump.

Hillary Clinton has shown countless times through her reckless behavior that she does not care about the security or protection of our country. And that in itself deems her unfit to be President.

To my fellow millennials, consider the future of this country. Consider your future children and grandchildren.

You may be sitting there reading this thinking "it's just an election; it's just four years; it's not going to make a difference in my life."

Well, you're wrong. This election will make a huge difference to our lives.

We cannot continue in our current state. Terror attacks on American soil have increased, we are trillions of dollars in debt… and the list goes on and on.

It's time for a strong leader who will stand up for our country and bring us back to the founding values of this country. We need to make smart decisions, confront our country's issues, and get back on the right track.

We need to make American great again.
