Jon Stewart Recalls That Time Trump Threw A Tantrum And Called Him A ‘Pussy'
Since he left "The Daily Show," Jon Stewart has only made a few appearances during this chaotic election cycle, but it's been magical every single time.
On Tuesday night, he delivered some of that magic once again when he recalled an epic Twitter war he once had with none other than Donald Trump.
Vote wisely this November.
The former host of "The Daily Show" was performing a stand-up set at Madison Square Garden for the 10th annual Stand Up for Heroes event, which is hosted by the Bob Woodruff Foundation to raise money for veterans and their families.
Stewart started off by asking America how it put itself into such an absurd position with this election.
Expressing his utter disbelief at the state of the presidential election, Stewart said,
I'm not as much of a political analyst... But if I could ask you a question that I've been saying to my television, it's 'What the fuck? What the fuck is going on? What is happening?!'"
It's safe to say a lot of Americans are asking the same exact question on a consistent basis.
The comedian also tackled Trump's claim the election is "rigged" (it isn't).
Stewart pointed out how contradictory it is for a billionaire to claim the cards are stacked against him, he said,
Dude, you live in a tower with your name on it in gold. How well would you be doing if the man wasn't keeping you down?
The man certainly has a point.
But the best part of Stewart's set was his recollection of a Twitter war he had with The Donald.
Back in 2013, Trump fired the first shots in this war when he attacked Jon Stewart for changing his name from Leibowitz.
As Stewart recalled it, Trump was clearly trying to let people know that he's Jewish.
Trump continued to attack him like that, arguing Stewart should be prouder of his "heritage."
Needless to say, there were some fairly antisemitic sentiments surrounding Trump's verbal assaults against Stewart (Trump has frequently exhibited antisemitic sentiments during this election cycle as well).
Stewart eventually clapped back by tweeting,
Many people don't know this, but Donald Trump's real name is Fuckface Von Clownstick. I wish you would embrace the Von Clownstick heritage.
Trump, who is not the best at handling any form of criticism (to put it lightly), was not too happy about this.
The fight escalated to a point where the real estate mogul called Stewart a "pussy" (his favorite word).
After Stewart called Trump "Fuckface Von Clownstick," there were a few more exchanges on Twitter in which the real estate mogul called the comedian "unoriginal."
Stewart realized how much he was annoying Trump, so he tweeted,
We seem to have hit a Fuckface Von Nervestick.
Trump then called Stewart a "pussy" who would be "hopeless in a debate with me."
After recalling all this, Stewart finished off his set by simply stating,
Vote wisely this November.
This is very sound advice.
