The Obamas are about to spend their final Christmas in the White House.

These past eight years have gone by way too fast.

Hold on, I need a moment ...

The White House just posted a picture of Michelle Obama on Instagram greeting military families who were invited to the White House for a preview of the holiday decorations.

Michelle Obama provided the caption, which might make you sob uncontrollably,

For the past eight years, celebrating the holidays and having you all be the first that see the decorations, this has been one of our favorite White House traditions. It reminds us that between all the shopping lists and the travel plans and all those big meals, that we cannot forget what the holidays are really about.

She will definitely go down as one of the classiest and most warmhearted first ladies we've ever had.

The Obama's are going out in style — the holiday decorations in the White House look absolutely amazing.

Their dogs, Sunny and Bo, are also getting into the holiday spirit.

A few days ago, FLOTUS thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the official White House Christmas tree: a 19-foot Douglas Fir donated by a tree farm in Pennsylvania. She was joined by her nephews, Austin and Aaron.

The Obama era is officially coming to an end, but that clearly isn't stopping FLOTUS from celebrating the holidays to the fullest.

Regardless of your politics, it's pretty hard not to admire Michelle Obama.

She's definitely a first lady who makes you proud to be American.

It's going to be very hard to say goodbye to her in January.

In the meantime, let's hope the Obamas truly enjoy their final holiday season in the White House.
