Obama 51 Percent Approval Rating As Gun Control Debate Looms
A poll conducted between January 11th and 15th by CBS and the New York Times shows that 51% of Americans approve of the way president Barack Obama has been performing during his presidency prior to the start of his second term while 41% disapprove of his methods.
One disheartening fact is that the president’s approval rating, though showing that the majority of Americans approve of his work as president, are awfully similar to George W. Bush’s rating prior to his second term start.
Obama’s rating is far below that of Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan prior to their second terms.
There’s no surprise that this 51% rating mirrors how Americans view the president’s gun control proposal with most Americans for it while a large number remain against such reform.
