A poll conducted between January 11th and 15th by CBS and the New York Times shows that 51% of Americans approve of the way president Barack Obama has been performing during his presidency prior to the start of his second term while 41% disapprove of his methods.

One disheartening fact is that the president’s approval rating, though showing that the majority of Americans approve of his work as president, are awfully similar to George W. Bush’s rating prior to his second term start.

Obama’s rating is far below that of Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan prior to their second terms.

There’s no surprise that this 51% rating mirrors how Americans view the president’s gun control proposal with most Americans for it while a large number remain against such reform.

This viral British talk show clip is literal proof that ignorance can kill. This HIV-positive woman was so naive about AIDS just eight years ago that she was seriously unaware that white people could catch it. After admitting to the hosts of the UK’s “This Morning” that she never cared to pay attention to AIDS […]

This Is Probably The Funniest Boarding Pass You’ll Ever See (Photo)

There’s nothing funny about flying, but this boarding pass issued to a recent traveller is a damn treasure. “GR8VAG” could mean a lot of things, but it likely means only one. Clearly this was no coincidence either. It was a random act of God for this flyer to go out there and get him some exquisite […]

The Rise And Fall Of The Selfie: How Selfies Have Officially Peaked

This summer, we argued for the end of the selfie, the unavoidable presence in our everyday lives that is worshipped by some and barely understood by others. As you well know by now, our warning call was never heeded, and we now sit in the midst of a selfie crisis the likes of what we’ve […]

5 Books To Put Wanderers On The Track To Finding Themselves

J.R. R. Tolkien famously wrote that, “Not all who wander are lost.” But it seems that sometimes, we wander for so long contemplating what to do with ourselves that we forget who we were when we started. Or, alternately, we are pushed and prodded along for 20-some years and by the time we graduate from college, […]
