Ruthless Anti-Trump Signs Prove His Mom's Home Country Hates Him The Most
There is perhaps no country in the world that despises Donald Trump more than Scotland.
This is somewhat ironic, given his mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, was born there.
Indeed, Trump's mother was a Scottish immigrant.
She was from the remote fishing village called Tong.
In 1929, when Trump's mother was 17-years-old, she boarded a ship in Glasgow, Scotland and headed to New York City for the first time.
After a few more trips, she finally settled there in the 1930s.
But, regardless of his heritage, people in Scotland absolutely despise Trump.
As Mashable wrote back in December 2015, "In Scotland, they hated Trump before hating Trump was cool."
This largely began due to Trump's demeanor during various business ventures in Scotland, but also escalated in relation to Brexit, among other things.
Now, people across Scotland are protesting Donald Trump's travel ban against refugees and people from seven predominately Muslim countries.
Some of the signs that are coming out of these protests are absolutely ruthless, and not to mention hilarious.
The Scots are once again showing the world their truly amazing sense of humor.
More importantly, they're standing in solidarity with Muslims and some of the world's most vulnerable people.
Scotland is proof that tolerance and profanity can coexist.
